The Essence Cafe

Good selection of food to pick from. We were just walking by and had a look at a few places to eat but most were bakery and wanted something small to eat and we found this place and great to have all day breakfast as we go there at 2pm and just felt like breakfast.. also had a coffee which was amazingly smooth to drink. Has plenty of room either inside or outside. Also have a good selection of sweets that were amazing will definitely be back here soon.

Lovely dog friendly place! Had the buckwheat waffles- wonderful balance, not too sweet. Was tempted by the southern fried chicken croffle and the pancake of the day! A bit disappointed they are no longer doing the dog menu but our pups still enjoyed their puppucino and doggy biscuit. So many friendly locals came to say hi to the pups as well! Very dog friendly!

Had breakfast here on a busy Saturday morning and was really impressed! I tried the pancake of the month (pancakes with poached pear, raspberries, and homemade pear ice cream) and it was absolutely delicious. Will be back to test their other monthly pancake specials! Great food, friendly service, and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend!

We had an hour between appointments so thought we'd drop in here for a quick breakfast. We both had variations of eggs on toast. Eggs were cooked great! No butter for toast, which was disappointing. Could have been a slightly larger serve of relish. Very small serve for $18. Service was great! Drinks were fabulous. Nice ambience.

Went here twice as it's the nicest Cafe in the area (according to my Uncle). The food is good with a variety of options, the coffee is good, you do need to order at the counter. The service is a little hit and miss (both times) which let the whole experience down.

Food was great - I really enjoyed my pork belly benny My coffee I wasn't so keen on, possibly because it was almond milk which I don't usually get. We are a young family of 4, and while I totally get that lunch service on a Saturday is super busy, we waited approximately 30 minutes for our meals, of which included plain toast with avocado on the side. Atmosphere would be nicer if there were heaters for the outside tables!

We had a wonderful time today and felt like we were the most important customers ever. Fabulous outdoor seating where we could converse easily, I highly recommend you try this cafe. Visiting for a few days we found this place while wandering. It's near the car park and the menu looked great. Service was prompt, coffee was good and the food top notch. Scrambled Eggs with Soft shell Crab and Breakfast Gnocchi. Both very tasty
